Nomad is the first free network for nurses and allied health to find great travel opportunities, without agency recruiters and with full transparency of job details. Instead of traditional recruiters, we have our team of Nomad Navigators each of whom specializes in a different part of the process. They are not competing recruiters, but all members of the same team working together to help you land the assignment. Think of it like runners passing a baton during a relay race!
Facilities all over the nation work with Nomad to help find clinicians for their units who need it most.
Step 1: Introduce yourself. Complete your profile so that we can get a better understanding of where you’ve been and where you want to go.
Step 2: Browse all jobs. On Nomad, you see all the information upfront so you can decide which jobs you're interested in.
Step 3: Apply. Once you find a job that matches your qualifications and preferences, go ahead and apply!
We are here to support you every step of the way, and that’s why you will work with an expert Nomad Navigator during each key step in your Nomad journey:
When you hit that “Apply” button, your application will be sent to a Navigator from our applications team who will review it and make sure it meets the needs of the facility.
These team members will help you compile your documents, reach out if we’re missing anything, and submit to the facility once your application is ready.
Be sure to reply to us quickly so we can submit you to the facility as quickly as possible!
Your application is now in the hands of the facility, and a Navigator on our offers team will be able to provide you with information on the status of your application.
If the facility is interested, they will contact you with an interview request and if you’re offered a position, a member of that team will send you the details on behalf of the facility.
Congrats you’ve accepted an offer, and now you’re officially a Nomad healthcare provider!
A Nomad Navigator on our credentialing team will begin the process of obtaining all documentation needed for hire, e.g. background checks, license and work history verifications, IDs, immunizations etc. Once you are cleared, you will begin your assignment!
From here on out, your contact will be a member of our Travelers on Assignment (TOA) team who will check in with you regularly to make sure that you are having a great experience while on assignment, and you will send your paycards to them.
They will also be your first point of contact to help connect you with our clinical team in case any issues of this nature arise.
For all positions listed on Nomad, we require:
Please note that the requirements for facilities vary, and they may require more specific speciality and reference requirements than the minimum needed for Nomad. If this is the case, a member of our applications team will reach out to you.
If you have any questions as you progress through your journey on Nomad, feel free to reach out to us anytime at support@nomadhealth.com or by calling (866) 656-6623.
Happy job hunting!
